There will be two presentations: 1. Current barriers to medication development in pediatrics and 2. The role of adult lupus trials in supporting pediatric lupus trials. Given that pediatric drug development requires success of the adult drug, developing programs for strategic alignment is helpful to advance medication access in children. This could include inclusion of adolescents in adult studies, alignment of outcome measures, and study designs.
