From fevers to swollen joints to cytopenias, non-rheumatology diseases can have presentations that mimic autoimmune disease. Expert clinicians are required to maintain a broad diagnosis, including infectious, hematologic/oncologic, and rheumatic etiologies. Participants will be invited to engage in interactive case-based learning on the evaluation, work-up, and treatment of rheumatology mimics

Learning Objectives:

  • Measure the likelihood of non-rheumatic disease in patients with rheumatology-adjacent presentations
  • Formulate a broad differential for rheumatic and non-rheumatic mimics in case presentations
  • Select the appropriate work-up, diagnostic testing, and treatment for patients with rheumatology mimicking disease
