ANCA vasculitis is an organ and life-threatening condition. Current medications, including prednisone and various immunosuppressants are effective in inducing remission; however, refractory cases of ANCA vasculitis may worsen patient outcomes and lead to difficulty with choosing the appropriate treatment option. An expert in ANCA vasculitis will discuss the complexities of refractory cases, including diagnosis, outcomes, and treatment strategies.

Learning Objectives:

Interpret diagnostic and clinical criteria to recognize ANCA vasculitis refractory to treatment
Predict outcomes based on response to initial medications and clinical course of refractory ANCA vasculitis
Select appropriate follow-up therapies for refractory cases of ANCA vasculitis
