The Joseph Croft, MD Memorial Lecture will honor the contributions of Dr Croft to the field of rheumatology. Dr Croft served as the ACR president from 1999-2000 and was the recipient of the Presidential Gold Medal in 2014. The lecture will be given by Dr Michael Weinblatt, a Master of the ACR, who will speak on the evolution of the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and provide context for future therapeutic interventions. Dr Weinblatt has been at the forefront of therapeutic trials for rheumatoid arthritis and this session will be a highlight of Convergence 2025

  • Discuss with a colleague or patient the history of treating rheumatoid arthritis from the early 20th century to the current time
  • Discuss with a colleague or patient how the past experience with the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis has and will shape the future therapies for this disease
