Autoimmune disease affects predominantly women, with greater than 90% of patients who are female in diseases such as lupus or Sjögren’s syndrome. This session will address how sex hormones influence immune responses and may potentially contribute to autoimmunity. It will investigate how sex hormones affect immune responses through the lens of gender-affirming care and obesity.
