This session will provide a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements in pharmacological therapies for rheumatologic diseases. With a focus on innovative treatments, evolving drug classes, and novel therapeutic strategies, the session will highlight how these developments are improving patient outcomes and shaping the future of rheumatologic care.

Learning Objectives:

Describe the efficacy and safety profiles of emerging biologic and targeted therapies in the management of common rheumatologic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and lupus, with a focus on balancing treatment benefits and risks
Identify the role of biosimilars and cost-effective treatment strategies in expanding access to care and develop strategies for addressing patient concerns
Describe the role of small molecules, such as Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors, in the treatment of autoimmune rheumatic diseases, and evaluate their indications, contraindications, and safety concerns in clinical practice
