NYU Grossman School of Medicine
New York, New York, United States
My career goals have centered on understanding the pathogenesis, outcomes, and treatments of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and neonatal lupus (NL). I have trained at NYU Langone Health in the division of Rheumatology. In order to attain skills necessary to maximize my ability to design and perform translational research I attained a Masters in Clinical Investigation via the NYU CTSI. I have also gained experience with a large research registry, extracting and analyzing data that has been used for several publications and presentations. Since 2013, I have led the clinical trials team in SLE at NYU, acting as principal investigator on multiple industry, NIH sponsored and investigator initiated interventional and observational trials, and am well versed in all lupus clinical assessment tools. I transitioned to specializing in the care of lupus patients after completing a Pfizer fellowship in Rheumatology/Immunology focused on SLE. In addition I currently direct the Clinical Trial Design course for the NYU CTSI Masters in Clinical Investigation program.
