Giselle Morales, LCSW, is the Program Coordinator for Charla de Lupus (Lupus Chat)® at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), a national program supporting Latino/Hispanic and African American communities affected by lupus. With over a decade of experience in social work, Giselle brings a deep commitment to culturally responsive care, patient advocacy, and community empowerment.
She earned her BSW from Long Island University (Cum Laude, Dean’s Scholar Award) and her MSW from CUNY Silberman School of Social Work, with a clinical focus. Her early work included providing individual and group therapy at Mount Sinai Hospital’s Adult Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic, using CBT, MI, DBT, and family systems approaches.
A proud Dominican Latina and lifelong New Yorker, Giselle is passionate about health equity and mental health access. She serves as Secretary of Siembra Today, a BIPOC-led nonprofit, and has extensive experience in grant writing, corporate partnerships, community engagement, and program development. She is also a mentor and frequent speaker, committed to uplifting the next generation of Latinx professionals.
Outside of work, Giselle enjoys traveling, hosting loved ones, exploring different cultures and cuisines, and writing. She is currently developing a children’s book series inspired by her daughter and lives in NYC with her toddler and rescue cat.
