Sameer Chunara is an ACPAC-trained Physiotherapist who owns and practices in an outpatient ambulatory setting in Toronto. He received his Physiotherapy degree from McMaster University in Hamilton and his ACPAC certification in 2016. He sees a varied caseload of patients including patients who have been recently diagnosed with inflammatory disease, to those who have been living with the disease for decades.
Sameer has a special interest in the intersection of technology and health care delivery, with focused experience in the implementation of computer vision technology to remotely assess and monitor patients with musculoskeletal disease. He is currently involved in the ideation, execution and validation of vision-based artificial intelligence models with the goal of automating the performance of commonly-used musculoskeletal assessment tests. In the past he has advised a technology startup whose goal was the sensorless remote monitoring of patients.
