Dr. Andrea Knight is a pediatric rheumatologist at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Canada, an Associate Scientist at the SickKids Research Institute in the Neurosciences and Mental Health Program, and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University or Toronto. She obtained her medical degree from the Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York. She then completed her pediatric residency and pediatric rheumatology fellowship at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania. Her research program focuses on neuropsychiatric function in childhood-onset lupus and mental health in youth with rheumatologic disease. She is the past Chair of the Lupus Section for the Childhood Arthritis & Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA), member of the Medical Scientific Advisory Committees for the Lupus Foundation of America, and member of the Scientific advisory Board for the Lupus Research Alliance. She also co-leads research for the CARRA workgroup on mental health.
