Dr. Torgerson is the Director of Experimental Immunology at the Allen Institute for Immunology and an Affiliate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington in Seattle Washington. He obtained his MD and PhD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and completed a Pediatrics Residency and Pediatric Rheumatology/Immunology fellowship at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital in Seattle. He has a longstanding interest in the molecular basis of immune dysregulation and autoimmunity in humans and in advancing transplant and non-transplant therapies for patients with immunodeficiency and immune dysregulation disorders. He is a past President of the Clinical Immunology Society (CIS).
