Dr. Carol A. Oatis is Professor Emerita at Arcadia University where she had been Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy. She has over 40 years of experience teaching Biomechanics to physical therapy students. Dr. Oatis has presented nationally and internationally on the biomechanics and treatment on individuals with osteoarthritis. She is currently studying detailed intervention data from physical therapists to describe PT practice and to identify practice factors associated with positive long-term functional outcomes in patients following total knee replacement surgery. She is a past President of ARP. She was a member of the Core Teams developing the 2019 ACR/AF Guidelines for the Management of Osteoarthritis of the Hand, Hip, and Knee and the 2022 ACR Integrative RA Guidelines.
