Kaiser Permanente Colorado
Windsor, Colorado, United States
I attended the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada and completed 3 years in the Biomedical Sciences program before transferring to the State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY at Buffalo), School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences to complete my Doctor of Pharmacy in Buffalo, NY. I then completed a Nephrology/Renal Transplantation American Society Health Systems Pharmacists Accredited Specialty Residency Post Graduate Program at SUNY at Buffalo, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
After completing my residency, I moved to Denver, Colorado in 2002 and joined Kaiser Permanente Colorado as their first Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Nephrology/Renal Transplantation. After 8 years, I decided to venture into pharmacy administration and took on the role as Pharmacist/Pharmacy Analyst with the Pharmacy Strategy and Optimization team where I earned my Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma. After spending 5 years in this role, I transitioned back into patient care as a Clinical Pharmacist in Rheumatology. 23 years later and I am still going strong at Kaiser Permanente Colorado.
My very first volunteer appointment was with the ACR Committee on Quality of Care November 2020. I have continued to support the ARP as a volunteer, for the ARP Governance Taskforce, ARP Executive Committee, ARP co-chair for a special project, and now currently serving on the eLearning Committee.
