Kim M. Huffman, MD, PhD is a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology and Immunology. Dr. Huffman received her BS at Clemson University followed by an MD/PhD from the Medical Scientist Training Program at the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency, Rheumatology Fellowship, and a Masters in Health Sciences at Duke. Since 2002, her work has focused on how to best recommend physical activity to improve overall health in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), especially by understanding the molecular mechanisms of exercise benefits in RA.
