Nathaniel Harris attended North Carolina State University, where he earned degrees in Philosophy, Chemistry, and Political Science. He obtained a PhD in Political Science at Duke University before pursuing medicine. He earned his medical degree from the Duke University School of Medicine, and he completed residency, chief residency, and fellowship at Duke as well. He subsequently joined the faculty at Duke, where he is an Assistant Professor of Medicine. He recently established the Duke Rheumatology Myositis Clinic and joined the Lupus Clinic and MSK US clinic. He enjoys spending time with his wife, 5-year-old twin boys, and Australian Shepherd, Dakota.
