Dr. Jackson completed medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine in 2015 and internal medicine residency training at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Following this, she pursued a Global Health Fellowship in Internal Medicine with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA in conjunction with the Botswana Harvard AIDS Institute Partnership. She began training as a Rheumatology fellow at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in July 2019, and was selected to be on the T32 training grant in Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Disease Research from 2020-2021. She is now an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology at UAB.
In 2020, Dr. Jackson has served as the fellow member of the ACR Global Engagement Task Force, followed by the fellow-in-training member of the ACR Global Engagement Special Committee in 2021-2022. She now serves on the Government Affairs Committee.
