Dr. Alana Nevares-Berrios is rheumatologist at the University of Vermont Medical Center and assistant professor at the Larner College of Medicine at UVM. She completed her internal medicine training at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County, Chicago and her rheumatology fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, Ohio. Her areas of interest include vasculitis (small and large vessel), anti-synthetase syndrome, non-infectious inflammatory eye disease and sarcoidosis. Her research interests include venous thromboembolic disease in granulomatosis with polyangiitis as well as healthcare delays and ischemic ocular complications in giant cell arteritis and neurosarcoidosis treatment.
