Dr. Natalia Trehan, DMD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Community Health at the James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine. She completed her Chief Residency in the Oral Medicine Residency program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, graduating in June 2024. Dr. Trehan earned her dental degree from the Medical University of Łódź, Poland, in June 2022.
Throughout her dental education, Dr. Trehan gained varied clinical experience by working across multiple international locations, including Malta, Toronto, India, and the USA. Her commitment to advancing her expertise was further demonstrated through her volunteer work in the Oral and Maxillofacial department. Her exceptional contributions to the field were recognized with the Trainee Award in the Case Report Category at the 2024 American Academy of Oral Medicine Annual Meeting and the Robert W. Beideman, DMD Outstanding Resident Award in Radiology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Trehan’s research interests focus on head and neck cancer and oral manifestations of systemic diseases. Her professional goals include a dual career in clinical practice and academia, where she aims to integrate her passion for patient care with a strong dedication to education and research.
