Dr. Kamini Shah is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Zucker School of Medicine Hofstra/ Northwell Health. Dr. Shah completed a clinical and research Rheumatology fellowship at Yale New Haven Hospital following her Internal Medicine residency at Mount Sinai - St. Luke’s/Roosevelt hospitals. She completed her medical degree at St.George’s University and received a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University. Upon completion of fellowship, Dr. Shah spent six years in private practice before joining the academic faculty at Northwell Health. Dr. Shah is an active member and mentor for USSONAR (Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists), serving as the mid -year Fundamentals course faculty. She contributes to the USSONAR Lupus Special Interest Group and the Advocacy Committee. She holds RhMSUS certification through the American College of Rheumatology (ACR), and continues to teach diagnostic imaging and procedural techniques to residents and fellows, while lecturing on topics related to the use of MSK ultrasound.
She is also a board member for Parker Jewish Institute, NY, on its Indian Subunit, where she contributes to community based health initiatives. In addition, she is the Foundation Chair and a founding member of the Rotary Club of North Shore, NY, where she leads philanthropic and service oriented programming.
