Ali El-Halwagi attended Texas A&M University where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He then completed medical school and internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine. During that period, he also attended UT School of Public Health where he obtained his Master of Public Health with a focus on epidemiology and refugee health. He is currently a rheumatology fellow at Baylor College of Medicine.
