Raisa is a second-year Rheumatology Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). She is a graduate from the Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). Raisa completed medical school in Brazil (Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública), during which time she spent a year at the University d'Auvergne, in France, through a scholarship program. Prior to joining residency, Raisa was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her main research interests are myositis, patient-reported outcomes, and health disparities. Raisa was a Plenary (II) presenter at the ACR Convergence 2022 and one of the Rheumatology Research Foundation Resident Awardees.
