Dr Gakhal is a full time rheumatologist and an Assistant Professor at Women College Hospital at the University of Toronto. She has a master's in quality improvement and patient safety and her academic work focuses on triage and access to rheumatology care. She is co- lead of the JIA Young Adult Clinic where adult and pediatric rheumatology along with advanced allied health practitioners co manage patients with JIA from age 17-25.
