Dr. Tien-I Karleen Su is the founder of RPPA (Rheumatology Private Practice Alliance), chair of ACR's Independent Practice Subcommittee (IPSC), board member of California Rheumatology Alliance, and co-founder of Amicus Arthritis & Osteoporosis Center in California. In all of her roles, her mission is to help physicians achieve higher work satisfaction and autonomy by empowering them with resources to thrive in private practice. In 2018, she started a facebook group community for rheumatologists interested in private practice. It has since grown to 1200+ rheumatologists where they engage in lively discussions about private practice, patient access, advocacy issues, and challenging clinical cases. RPPA now hosts Growth Summit annually to bring RPPA members together in person, further strengthening the community.
