I am a Physician-Scientist and Assistant Professor of Medicine in the division of Rheumatology at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). I lead the psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and spondyloarthritis (SpA) clinical and research program at VUMC. I am part of the Psoriatic Arthritis Research Consortium (PARC) and NEtwork for Research and Development in Spondyloarthritis (NERDS), which include five PsA and SpA-dedicated clinics in the US aimed to improve patient-centered care and advance personalized medicine in PsA and SpA. The mission of my clinical and research program is to improve outcomes in PsA and SpA by developing better treatment strategies, and to understand the factors leading to the development of PsA and SpA enabling early intervention. I aim to combine traditional epidemiology, bioinformatics, and human genetics to achieve my long-term goal of leading patient-centered, pragmatic research in real-world PsA and SpA patients and advancing personalized medicine.
