Dr. Tesser is currently a practicing rheumatologist at the Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates in Phoenix, Arizona. He is also a principal investigator & sub-investigator at the Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Research PLLC and he has been a principle investigator on more than 600 clinical trials.
After graduating from Yale University, he obtained his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in New York. Dr. Tesser completed his internship and residency program in internal medicine at Maricopa County General Hospital. Following his residency, he did his Fellowship in Rheumatology at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He served as Chief of Rheumatology at Maricopa Medical Center for 10 years before entering private practice. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor, Clinical Series, Department of Internal Medicine University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix and
an Adjunct Assistant Professor, Division of Clinical Education, Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Tesser has received certifications in internal medicine and the subspecialty of rheumatology from the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow and a Master of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology. He has authored over 100 publications and abstracts in peer reviewed journals. He was the recipient of 2014 AAPA Paragon Physician-Partnership Award.
