Patricia Remalante-Rayco, MD, MSc is a Clinical Research Fellow at the Spondylitis Program, Toronto Western Hospital, University Health Network. She finished her Master of Science degree in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of the Philippines and is a PhD student at the Institute of Medical Science, University of Toronto. She works with Dr. Nigil Haroon and Dr. Robert Inman on studying the utility of hybrid PET-MR in axSpA diagnosis and factors associated with biologic treatment retention and demyelinating disease in SpA. She also works with Dr. Denis Poddubnyy on characterizing patients with difficult-to-manage axSpA. Her current research is supervised by Dr. Haroon and focuses on personalized medicine in axSpA, which is supported by SPARTAN and the Schroeder Arthritis Institute.
