Lumeng is a PhD student in Biomedicine at the Life Science Zurich Graduate School, University of Zurich, since January 2024. Based at the Center of Experimental Rheumatology at University Hospital Zurich, her work focuses on unravelling the molecular mechanisms underlying very early systemic sclerosis (SSc) in the skin. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Oliver Distler, Lumeng's research aims to contribute to early diagnosis and prevention for systemic sclerosis.
Her educational background includes an exchange program in the Faculty of Dentistry at the National University of Singapore (12/2022–06/2023). She earned a Master’s degree in Toxicology from Karolinska Institute, Sweden (09/2021–12/2022), and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Germany (09/2018–09/2021).
