I am Dr. Jairo Hernán Cajamarca Barón, a rheumatologist, internal medicine specialist, and research professor at Fundación Universitaria de Ciencias de la Salud (FUCS). With over a decade of experience, I hold specializations in rheumatology (FUCS, 2021), internal medicine (Universidad del Rosario, 2018), and epidemiology (Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga, 2015). I have dedicated my career to clinical practice, research, and education, working at leading institutions such as Fundación Cardioinfantil and Hospital San José.
As an active member of the Colombian Society of Rheumatology, I contribute to advancing the field as part of its education committee. My research spans diverse topics, including Sjögren’s syndrome, lupus nephritis, and psoriatic arthritis, with numerous publications in high-impact journals and presentations at international congresses such as EULAR and PANLAR. I am also a co-author of medical textbooks, reflecting my dedication to sharing knowledge.
I am honored to have received accolades such as an investigative grant from Pfizer. My work integrates clinical expertise with a commitment to evidence-based care, innovative research, and the education of future healthcare professionals, all aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and advancing the field of rheumatology.
