Ahmad Almhdie received his Ph.D. in Medical Engineering from the University of Orléans, France, in 2007, where his research focused on 3D surface comparison for medical imaging applications. He later held postdoctoral positions at several leading French institutions, including the PRISME Laboratory, the ISTO Laboratory of the CNRS, the I3MTO Laboratory, and the PRIMMO research platform at the University Hospital Centre of Orléans. He has also lectured at the University of Sebha (Libya) and the Polytech Engineering School of Orléans.
Dr. Almhdie’s research focuses on multidimensional medical image processing, with contributions in brain structure segmentation, trabecular bone texture analysis, and AI-driven prediction of knee osteoarthritis progression and arthroplasty risk. He has co-authored over 35 peer-reviewed publications and regularly serves as a reviewer for journals and conferences.
