This session will describe the 2025 ACR extrarenal SLE guideline, which was based on a standardized protocol that prioritized relevant clinical questions about SLE treatments and a systematic literature review. The session will review the methods used and recommendations made, as well as demonstrate how to use the guideline in a clinical setting using a case-based format with particular emphasis on specific, challenging scenarios including childhood onset lupus.
