While rheumatologists are familiar with systemic vasculitides, they are less familiar with
the non-systemic vasculitides, which affect only one organ. Single-organ vasculitis
represents a specific entity in need of wider recognition and understanding.
Here, the diagnosis and management of single-organ vasculitis will be discussed by highlighting three forms rheumatologists are likely to encounter: Isolated cutaneous vasculitis, primary angiitis of the central nervous system, and clinically
isolated aortitis.
