This session will define and discuss inflammaging - the chronic, low-grade inflammation that accompanies aging, and its role in the development and progression of rheumatic diseases. This session aims to focus on the mechanisms driving age-related immune dysfunction and their role in progression of rheumatic diseases.

  • Interpret how T cells are remodeled in inflammaging
  • Categorize how myelopoiesis is affected in inflammaging in autoimmunity
