Postural tachycardia syndrome (POTS) is a largely misunderstood and clinically controversial disautonomic disorder that is often confused with other disorders like myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), depression, anxiety, adrenal dysfunctions, orthostatic tachycardia, panic attacks, anemia, etc. POTS has also been linked to long COVID.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the differential diagnosis criteria for postural tachycardia syndrome (POTS)
  • Explain the link between POTS and long COVID, immune-mediated processes, and autoimmune conditions
  • List the various rehab treatments for patients with POTS
