The goal of the Patient Perspectives session is to allow people affected by rheumatic disease to share their journeys and experiences with the thousands of rheumatology healthcare providers who will attend ACR Convergence. Patients will present their own perspectives to address the following question: “What adaptations did you and/or your healthcare team adopt to better care for your health?"

Learning Objectives:

  • Acknowledge the breadth of strategies that patients engage in to help cope with the challenges of chronic disease.
  • Describe processes by which patients and members of their healthcare teams actualize innovative solutions to improve patient well-being.
  • Summarize creative problem-solving techniques by patients on behalf of themselves and the community of others with rheumatic diseases.
