This session will explore the application of implementation science (IS) in rheumatology, focusing on emerging trends, gaps, and opportunities to enhance care delivery. Building on last year’s focus on lupus, we will broaden the discussion to include insights from across rheumatology to foster cross-disciplinary learning and identify shared strategies. We will present the results of a systematic scoping review on how IS has been operationalized in the peer-reviewed rheumatology literature, highlighting areas for future exploration. Attendees will also learn from a lupus case study on using peer support as an implementation strategy to improve implementation and increase sustainment for a digital self-management program for people with lupus. The session aims to equip learners with actionable insights into how IS strategies can be used by healthcare professionals, researchers, and implementers to optimize rheumatology interventions and improve care.
