This session will explore the evolving landscape of rheumatology practice ownership and the pressures facing independent groups in the face of consolidation and corporate medicine. The session will explore both the positive and negative aspects of private equity in healthcare, with a balanced view on how it affects all stakeholders involved, including patients, providers, investors, and society at large. Topics include:

• The current state of private equity and corporate involvement in healthcare

• Key challenges and opportunities for independent rheumatology practices

• Navigating consolidation pressures while maintaining autonomy

• What independent practices can do to remain competitive and sustainable

• The broader implications of corporate medicine on patient care and access
