I am a Rheumatologist and clinician scientist, and an Associate Professor of Medicine & Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto, a scientist at the Krembil Research Institute, a member of the graduate faculty at the Institute of Medical Science, University of Toronto, and a staff physician at the University Health Network and Mount Sinai Hospitals. I direct the Gladman Krembil Psoriatic Arthritis Research Program at the University Health Network, Toronto, Canada. My research interests lie in the genetic and molecular epidemiology of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, especially with regard to prognosis. My translational research program is focused on developing proteomics and metabolomics-based screening and prognostic tools for psoriatic arthritis. My bench research aims to identify mechanisms underlying inflammation and joint damage in psoriatic arthritis and developing novel topical and systemic anti- psoriatic therapies. I am a member of the board of directors of the Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis. I am an active collaborator in multi-centre research consortia such as the International Psoriasis and Arthritis Research Team and the Spondyloarthritis Research Consortium of Canada.
