Sydney Liles, PT, DPT, MS, is a third-year PhD student in Biomechanics and Movement Science at the University of Delaware and a licensed physical therapist. Her research focuses on physical activity and treatment strategies for individuals with arthritis, particularly knee osteoarthritis and Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis. She utilizes clinical trial and cohort data to examine physical activity patterns, pain, and treatment utilization, with long-term goals of improving physical activity engagement and communication among individuals with arthritis, their families, and providers. Sydney is a senior trainee in the Delaware ACTIVE Lab and has been recognized with several honors, including the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research’s PODS I Scholarship and the 2025 ARP Outstanding Student in Rheumatology Award.
