Dr. Masatsugu Komagamine graduated from Iwate Medical University in 2015 and completed his internal medicine residency at Keio University Hospital in 2017, where he joined the Division of Rheumatology. From 2020 to 2023, he conducted immunology research at the University of Tokyo Graduate School and earned his PhD in Medicine from Keio University in 2024. He currently serves as a Clinical Lecturer at the Department of Rheumatology, Iwate Medical University.
He is board-certified in rheumatology and internal medicine and received the Excellent Abstract Award from the Japanese Society for Bone and Mineral Research in 2024. His research focuses on the JAK-STAT pathway in bone metabolism, musculoskeletal ultrasound in RA, and the clinical effectiveness of subcutaneous methotrexate. His work has been published in Inflammation and Regeneration.
