Hayagrivas Manicka Bharathkumar is a final-year MBBS student at AIIMS, New Delhi, with a strong interest in applying artificial intelligence and computational tools to clinical medicine. His rheumatology research includes developing sensor-based insoles with machine learning models to aid in the detection of foot joint arthritis, and co-authoring a published case report on anti-MDA-5 positive juvenile dermatomyositis in the International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases.
Beyond rheumatology, he has contributed to projects in neurodegeneration, histopathology, and diagnostic AI. He is the co-founder of TiMeD, a student-led initiative advancing AI and biodesign in medical diagnostics, and culture.d, a platform improving student engagement with college events through digital tools.
Hayagrivas looks forward to a career as a physician-scientist, potentially in rheumatology, combining clinical care, research, and innovation to address challenges in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
