I study the mechanisms of salivary gland dysfunction in Sjögren’s Disease, focusing on why inflammation control fails to restore glandular function. My work aims to build an integrated disease model that links immune activation, tissue senescence, structural damage, and functional decline—ultimately redefining glandular failure beyond conventional inflammation-centered paradigms.
