Dr. Nina Carson is a physical therapist and PhD student at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Dr. Carson is passionate about physical activity research and improving rehabilitation for older adults with osteoarthritis. Dr. Carson’s primary research in her PhD program is centered around improving care after total knee arthroplasty and uncovering mechanistic pathways that influence recovery in older adults. She was awarded a Rheumatology Research Foundation preceptorship and is a T32 trainee in Integrative Physiology of Aging. Dr. Carson is also a recipient of the Promotion of Doctoral Studies Charlene Mae Nelson Award through the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research.
