Ganesh Ramanathan is a third-year undergraduate student in the Bachelor of Health Sciences program at Queen's University, Canada. He is passionate about improving the diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune diseases like lupus and psoriatic arthritis. He works as a research student under Dr. Andrea Knight in the Division of Rheumatology and the Neuroscience and Mental Health Research Institute at SickKids. His research investigates biomarkers of brain injury and cognitive impairment in children with lupus, aiming to deepen our understanding of how systemic inflammation impacts the developing brain. Ganesh was awarded the 2024 Gina M. Finzi Student Summer Fellowship from the Lupus Foundation of America.
