John K Botson MD, RPh, CCD received his undergraduate degree from Ohio Northern University, double-majoring in pharmacy and chemistry. After obtaining his medical degree from The Ohio State University, he completed residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and, in 2009, completed his rheumatology fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Botson is the President of the Alaska Rheumatology Alliance and a Rheumatologist with Orthopedic Physicians Alaska. He specializes in gout, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis management and musculoskeletal ultrasound. Dr. Botson also performs clinical research and has authored numerous scientific manuscripts and case studies. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Botson enjoys spending time with family, especially fishing in the great Alaskan outdoors.
