Dr. Julia Buchfuhrer is a board-certified rheumatologist and founder of JB Arthritis and Rheumatology Center in Downey, California. Since opening her practice in 2021, she has become an active voice in the national rheumatology community, serving on boards and committees with the American College of Rheumatology, Rheumatology Private Practice Alliance, Association of Women in Rheumatology, and United Rheumatology.
Dr. Buchfuhrer is passionate about teaching and regularly lectures at academic institutions and hospitals. She also trains residents in family medicine, sports medicine, and podiatry in her clinic. She has a special interest in gout and psoriatic arthritis and was honored as the 2025 OC Arthritis Foundation Medical Honoree.
