Seattle Children's Hospital
Seattle, Washington, United States
I completed medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in the spring of 2020, after which I proceeded to my pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. After graduating in 2023, I began my fellowship in pediatric rheumatology at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Alongside my clinical work, I have continued to engage in health equity research. I have been working with Dr. Jim Jarvis to study juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) in the Indigenous North American population enrolled in the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) registry. This population has been chronically underrepresented in the literature with poor access to care, despite several studies noting an increased burden of disease. We aim to examine disease presentation, pain scores, and treatment patterns and how they may differ from the non-indigenous population, especially in light of our growing understandings of how historical trauma may influence the development of autoimmune disease.
