PD Dr. Stephanie Finzel received her medical degree at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and completed her residency at the University Clinic of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Erlangen, Germany.
At present, Dr. Finzel heads the Clinical Trials Unit Rheumatology as a Senior Physician at the University of Freiburg, Freiburg, Germany.
Through her work in the Clinical Trials Unit, Dr. Finzel is involved in the design and implementation of various IITs. In addition to the validation of imaging outcome tools such as HR-pQCT for use in clinical studies, and the characterization of hemochromatosis arthropathy, her work now also includes the identification and description of disease patterns in individuals who suffer from COVID or were exposed to it.
