Shuji Sumitomo, MD, PhD, is a rheumatologist and clinician-scientist at Department of Rheumatology, Kobe City Medical Center General Hospital. His research focuses on systemic lupus erythematosus, type I interferonopathies, and the molecular mechanisms underlying treatment resistance.
