Prof. Dr. Li Qiubai is a leading expert in rheumatology and hematology, with expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex rheumatic and autoimmune diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus, ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis, and systemic sclerosis.
Dr. Li holds multiple leadership positions, notably as Director of the Department of Rheumatology at Union Hospital and as Director of the Hubei Provincial Engineering Research Center for Translational Applications of Extracellular Vesicles. He has led key national projects, including the "14th Five-Year Plan" National Key R&D Program, and holds numerous prestigious academic appointments.
Dr. Li has published over 40 papers in high-impact journals such as Science Translational Medicine and Leukemia. He is involved in several high-profile clinical trials, including pioneering studies on Venetoclax and CAR-T cell therapies for leukemia and systemic lupus erythematosus.
Dr. Li earned his MD and PhD in Internal Medicine from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). He now serves as a PhD and postdoctoral supervisor at HUST, mentoring the next generation of medical professionals
