Laure Gossec, MD, PhD, is Professor of Rheumatology in Sorbonne Universite and Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital, Paris, France. She is currently the Treasurer and a member of the Board of EULAR. Laure Gossec’s research interests focus on outcome measures and targeted treatments, in spondyloarthritis, psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Professor Gossec is particularly interested in the patient’s perspective and patient-centred research, and has successfully led Europe-wide projects to develop scores to assess the impact of RA then PsA, under the aegis of EULAR.
This year, Laure Gossec coordinated with Professor Smolen (Austria) an update of the EULAR recommendations for the management of PsA.
Laure Gossec is a Past-Chair of the Epidemiology standing committee of EULAR and is a founding member and past Chair of the Emerging EULAR Network (EMEUNET). She was elected to the EULAR Board as Treasurer in June 2023. Professor Gossec has authored close to 500 peer-reviewed manuscripts.
